2019 Summer Wrap Up

2019 Summer Ministry Wrap Up - Picture Blog Style

English Enrichment

Batey (village) Ministry

Summer Camp

Big Games, Bible Memory (which we call truth check or Chequeo de Verdad), Team Challenges, Bible Game Shows, Crafts, Learning Books of the Bible, Ice Cream Parties, Worship Songs, and Chapel are just some of the FUN we had this summer with our 1st -6th graders!

We dove into the book of Colossians this summer! Reconciliation, Sanctification, Characteristics to put off, Attributes to put on, were the key concepts our kids learned this summer!

Camp "property"

From Paper to reality - Our God is so good!

I cannot even begin to count the hands, feet, time, love, sweat, smashed fingers, and hard work that have gone into building the cabins for camp this summer!

In a little over a month our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders will have the opportunity to have their first overnight camp experience in our new cabins! This summer, we took them out to the camp site to see the camp area for the first time.... lets just say they are a "little" excited!

The "finished" project

As as staff we went out, prayed and dedicated this new avenue of ministry to the Lord!

Interns

I had the privilege of training, leading, and working along side of our summer interns! This type of discipleship opportunity is one of my favorite! I can't speak highly enough of all of our interns! We give them real responsibilities, and it is a delight to see them grow and invest in our kids here at Freedom!

Do you know someone who is interested in exploring missions, or teaching?

We are looking for 2020 spring and summer interns! Find out more here.

Visitors & Partners In Ministry

Left: My parents come down, visited, and helped serve in the ministry!

Middle: My youth pastor and the church I grew up going to (Lake Hills Baptist) came down and served along side of Freedom!

Right: Wilson Family - Friends from my sending church came down and partnered with me!

Lake Hills Baptist Church, the church I grew up attending, prayed for me and the ministry as they departed for home.

Prayer Requests

  • Fall overnight camp - It is almost here! Our kids first overnight camp experience! We are so excited, but there are many more details needing to be finalized before then.

  • Wisdom - as we plan, as we teach, as we disciple

  • Our Kids - God would use this time away to speak truth to them.

  • Camp Construction - We are eagerly awaiting the start of our multi use building. This building will have our bathrooms, some storage space, an area to do activities if it rains, and where we will hold chapel. God's timing is perfect and we are holding on to that truth, will you join us in prayer for this project?

  • New Missionaries - God has been answering our prayer of sending people! We have several new families in the midst of raising support to join our team! Would you join me in prayer for their support raising process?

  • School is starting - School begins today! We have 90 new three year olds having their first day of school, 10 new Dominican teachers, 6 new interns, and several other missionaries and staff serving in this avenue.
